Spring Summer 2025, Grandpa goes to Ballet

Dutch National Opera & Ballet and Modström joined forces on Thursday, February 27th, for a magical evening at the ballet Jewels. We invited nine influencers and three press representatives to experience this breathtaking production, choreographed by the legendary George Balanchine.

Returning to the stage of Dutch National Ballet after ten years, Jewels is a dazzling tribute to the beauty of ballet, inspired by the elegance of fine jewelry. The production is divided into three acts—Emeralds, Rubies, and Diamonds—each reflecting a different ballet tradition: the refinement of French ballet, the energy of American dance, and the grandeur of Russian classicism.

Guests were welcomed in the Koninginnenkamer (Queen’s Room), the prestigious space where the Dutch Royals are traditionally received. The evening began with an exclusive introduction by company dancer Costa Allen. Following this, guests enjoyed a mesmerizing performance featuring world-class soloists, including Anna Ol, Maia Makhateli, and Olga Smirnova.

It was a night of beauty, movement, and elegance—seamlessly blending the worlds of fashion and ballet in a truly unforgettable way.
